These clients were looking to bring life and interest to their unremarkable living room. Through our full service design, we did just that! We kept their sofa, but brought in new furnishings and decor to bring the space to life.
Client: An active and engaged family of four who also truly loved to hunker down and cozy up with the family
Space: An open, light-filled living room that lacked direction and style
Functional Objective: Replace the sun-faded chairs by the window, bring in an appropriately sized area rug, replace the overhead fan with a light
Aesthetic Objective: Bring in pattern and color, layers of texture and style, fill the built-ins with meaningful and unique pieces; create a space that welcomes guests and family to gather and relax for family movie nights, gatherings with friends, and holiday hosting.
Highlights: Custom draperies frame the windows and the new seating area so perfectly. This south-facing window can be hard on fabrics, so we specified fade-resistant fabric to extend the life of the upholstery. These chairs will live a long and happy life in this bright and sunny nook.

The addition of a coffered ceiling brings architectural interest and depth to the room. It creates a focal point for the stunning pendant light. A gorgeous collection of custom pillows invites guests to sink into the comfy, deep sofa.
A combination of the clients’ mementos, books, as well as some new decorative objects and plants fill the built-ins. This is an impactful part of the full service process, and can really make a room.
