New and Improved Cate Holcombe Interiors

The day has finally come!  It feels like years in the making.  I’ve seemingly been crafting, developing, painting, cropping, drag and dropping, minor coding, and typing for years!  In reality it’s only been a couple of months, but here it is!  The restructured and redeveloped cateholcombe.com!

Back in the hot, steamy days of July 2017, I had a vision.  Of growing my Interior Design business, and offering you, my lovely followers and clients, services that better suit your needs and lifestyle.  Of bringing you better, more consistent content in a way that’s more convenient for you.  Essentially, bringing more beauty and more joy into your homes more easily.

I feel so passionately that we are our best, most fulfilled selves when we are surrounded by things that bring us joy.  By crafting homes or rooms that reflect who we are as people, we can more easily rise up to share our individual gifts to the world.  Aaaaannnnnd, most importantly, that we can each do it in a way that fits our lifestyle and budget.  Most of us are working with limited funds, so recognizing that there are solutions for every budget is super important.  It truly does not have to cost a fortune to create a beautiful space.

So, with this renewed vision front of mind, I needed to restructure the foundation of my business: my website.  Let me take you for a little tour!  I have streamlined my Service offerings to three categories:  General Consultations, Custom Room Designs, and Instant Room Designs.

Online Interior Design

The exciting news regarding General Consultations is that they are now available through virtual conferencing!  Now anyone in the US can meet with me online.  Hit me with your most frustrating design challenges: space planning in tiny or awkward rooms, pattern mixing with your rugs and upholstery, confirming hard finishes in your new build, and even paint color specification.  That’s right, folks.  The color master herself, Maria Killam, taught me how to specify paint colors through online consultations.

The Inquiry Form for General Consultations will streamline the booking and prep for the consult, maximizing our time together.

You’ll see that my Custom Room Designs are also now offered virtually.  I have broken them down into three options:  Refresh, Refurnish, and Redecorate.  These packages address your needs on a scale.  If you have furniture you love, but want a fresh new look in your space, Refresh is the package for you.  Maybe you’ve just moved and you really just want to know what furniture to put in your space and where to put it.  Refurnish is the package you need! If you want the whole shebang: a plan to fully furnish AND accessorize your room, go with the Redecorate package.  EACH of the packages comes with wall color specification AND window treatment specification ANNNNNNDDD lighting specs.

You can click directly on the package to be taken to more details, and to purchase one directly.

Instant Room Designs are currently being developed, and I can’t WAIT to share them with you.  Stay tuned!

Consistency in blogging has not been my strong suit thus far, but I am committed to bring you helpful content each week moving forward.  I have mapped out a plan and have some inspiring ideas to share.  Make sure you’re on my email list so you don’t miss a post (you can subscribe at the bottom of this page).  I promise not to flood your inbox with annoying emails (one of my big pet peeves)!

There’s no doubt Instagram is my favorite social media platform.  I love observing and engaging with my friends, clients, followers, and other inspiring creatives.  I’ve been posting pics regularly there, and have also started sharing Stories.  If you’re not familiar, Stories are available when a rainbow frame is shown around a profile pic.

Simply tap the profile pic to see what has been posted.  You can tap on the right side of your screen to go to the next story, or swipe to move to the next person.  Stories expire 24 hours after posting, so it’s a really fun place to see a more low-key, authentic glimpse into people’s lives.  They are not as curated and polished as the photos people post in their regular IG feeds.

One limitation to Instagram is their link feature.  All profiles can only share one link at a time in their profile, so I’ve set up a page to host lots more links.  See that cateholcombe.com/instagram link in the screenshot above?  It will take you to a page on my site where you can click on any photo I’ve posted to get to the related link.  I think this will be a super helpful reference when you need to go back and see an old recommendation.  Some links are for other IG accounts or designers I love, some are for destinations we’ve visited, and some are specific products.

This brings me to affiliate links.  If you’re not familiar, an affiliate link is simply a specific URL that tracks the affiliate’s ID.  It shows the retailer who sent a visitor to their site.  Sometimes the affiliate will receive a (tiiiny) percentage of the purchase price (a commission, if you will) IF an item is purchased.  It’s super important to note that the cost of the item is no different to the customer. Some of the products I share may be done so with affiliate links.  I want to be super transparent about this because I never want you to think I am being deceptive.  I will only ever recommend products I 100% believe in, own, or would purchase myself.

Well, that just about wraps up our little tour.  I cannot WAIT to dive into designing your rooms and consulting on your design queries.  I hope you’ll click around the new site and read through it all.  Don’t forget to subscribe below.  And go ahead and book that consultation you’ve been considering!

xoxo
