My love of a good red, white, and blue color scheme is still going strong (see our Guest Bedroom here), and I’m here today to share some summer porch inspiration along the same vein. Whether you have a porch, patio, balcony, or stoop, perhaps this will inspire you to spruce it up for the summer.
The Plan
I just love a good classic bunting, and this one is essentially 10′ of fabric you can swag in any way you please. It would look fantastic along a porch rail or eave.
What porch doesn’t need some good bistro lights? None, I say! The plan is grounded by a gorgeous outdoor rug that will help delineate the seating area. The classic loveseat is contrasted with modern white chairs. Since I first saw these chairs last year, I can’t stop thinking about them…the perfect combo of style, function, and comfort.
This coffee table offers storage…an ideal place to stash the pillows and accessories in the off season. A selection of unique accent tables help fill out the plan and add texture and interest. The pillows are made for outdoor use and keep the layering and texture going.
And, the good news is that everything shown above comes in at under $1500. You can fully furnish an outdoor space for a totally reasonable price.
Shade
If you have a patio rather than a porch, you may want to add in an umbrella for shade. This offset option gives you lots of function and versatility as the sun moves. And I like the neutral color. Though, the retro lines of this one are so, so fantastic!
